34 Windows Installed!

We now have windows! 34 windows in all. The roof work is complete. But even with those beautiful additions to the exterior of the house, the true progress is not visible in these photos. There are now electric, water and sewer lines running to the house. Bathtubs and shower stalls arrived and have been installed on each of the four floors. The electrician worked through the weekend to get the house wired. Progress comes in many forms, shapes and sizes! Photos below are from April 22nd and 24th.

Roofers Get to Work

The roofers have arrived. Photos from April 19 show the tar paper on the roof and some workers getting ready to put down shingles.

Inside the Third Story

Liz ventured to the top floor of the new house on April 17, 2006. These are photos of the space on the third floor.

The Form Is In Place

The form of 1301 Avondale is in place. The roof is close to complete. Photos from April 14, 2006 show the proud architect with Indigo and Aria.

All Framed

The third story is framed . . . the full size and scale of the house is apparent! Photos take by Liz on April 13, 2006 are showing her architectural vision turning into reality.

Topping It Off

With the top of the house taking shape, we are starting to see what 1301 Avondale will look like when complete . . . as shown by these photos taken on April 12, 2006.

Trusses Arrive

The trusses for the roof of the house arrived on April 11, 2006. With windows and doors on order, the third floor and roof are shaping up nicely. We hope the top of the house will be complete very soon!

A House With A View

Liz ventured up to the second story of the house a couple days ago. She's pleased with the views from the second floor. Downtown Columbus is in the distance in this photo.

A Porch Appears

These photos from April 8, 2006 show the porch on the front of the house.

The Second Story Takes Shape

The Avondale house is showing signs of a second story . . .
Below is the front of the house, the shot is facing west (with the sun setting behind the house) from Avondale.

The show below shows the south side of the house. The photo is taken from the yard of the neighbor property - notice the very large window . . . that will be in the dining room and will provide a wonderful view of Avondale and Murrell Avenues.

The photo below shows the back of the house (taken from the alley behind the property). In the foreground is the footprint for the 2 car garage. This is the last time you'll see this view because there is now a garage blocking this angle (photos coming soon!)

The house keeps getting taller. We now have some walls on the first floor.
