A Floor To Behold

Wednesday, March 29th marked the start of framing on the new house. A sub floor was installed and today's beautiful weather indicated much progress is in store! The garage is also underway in the background.

The spring construction site can be quite messy and muddy.

A Foundation

The last 2 weeks have been quite productive, despite chilly temperatures and the threat of snow. The house is taking shape, literally. After the basement hole was dug, a foundation was poured and now the basement is clearly defined. Work has also begun on the garage.

Clearing the Site

Josh and his friend Craig worked very hard cleaning the site. This included chopping down some dead trees and removing lots of yard waste.

This blog will serve as an archive of the house we are building at 1301 Avondale. I hope to document the building process with posts and photos. The house was designed by architect P'Elizabeth R. Koelker.
This is the site of the new house in Grandview Heights, Ohio. The empty lot served very nicely as a birthday party location back in August 2005.
